Welcome to My IT Instructor dot com...

I would like to thank you for stopping by and checking out our website.  This site is meant to be a resource for my students, my fellow instructors, makers, tinkerers, computer/technology enthusiast, and the curious.  I hope that you find the content educational, fun and engaging.  Since we tend to have quite a few interests you will find that there will be lots to explore.

If you are one of my Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) Students you will find course resources in the MyITInstructor\Student Resources\CNM Courses Menu above.

Instructors will be interested in the resources available in the MyITInstructor\Instructor Resources menu above...

If you like Robotics then you are going to want to check out my CNM Students PiWars blogs and the Robotics Resources menus.

For the maker and tinkerer in you... be sure to check out the Mr. Bruce's HackerSpace menu where we will post tutorials, projects, and randomness related to Raspberry Pi, Arduino, electronics, etc.

As of today 08/18/2020 much of the content I hope to have on the website is still sitting on my server in the office...  We have just reorganized the website to better accommodate the content that we want to present.  So, even though there may not be a ton of content today, stayed tuned as we plan to add content at least every 2-4 days through the end of 2020.

Now, let's get with IT!

Thanks,

Kerry A. Bruce

Kind Words...

”Kerry,  I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed the classes this semester. I like your teaching style and feel it was really conducive to learning this material… I will return in the future and hope to take some of your classes. Thank you for everything." - Alan G

"I really want to say thank you for being my teacher, and thank you for all the advice and instruction you gave, both technical and career-wise. The career stuff is something that's prepared me in a way I hadn't anticipated, and probably would have been hard for me to come by, adding value that's really paying off now. I know I'm not the most approachable guy, and in spite of that you found a way to teach me and gave me a chance to feel included in the classroom and in IT." - Eric V

"Kerry – I just wanted to thank you for a great class at the Cisco WASTC Faculty Development Week in Anaheim. I haven’t spontaneously played with information technology absent a specific goal for a long time. It reminds me of why I decided to pursue an IT career decades ago. My Raspberry Pi is not gathering dust 😊" - Peter V

Hey Professor,
I wanted to reach out to you and make sure you know how appreciated your enthusiasm for technology is.
Too many technology related courses are taught by people jaded by the industry, and not very excited about the fascinating tools they work with. A course led by someone with a passion for what they do makes it much easier to learn, and I think it also makes the content of the course, and your communications seem more sincere.
Thanks for being a great professor.

Success! I passed. Thank you again for a great class.  - Imani B

Thanks for the great class.  Best online experience I’ve ever had. “ - Conrad R

Lastly, I would like to give you a great review so if you activate the feedback “End of Course Survey” I’d be glad to do it.
Really enjoyed the course and found Data Science fascinating.  Planning on really getting into Python. - Edmond G

I am on my way to achieving my goals here at CNM and I am very thankful to have met you and have taken several of your classes Kerry thank you for all the great memories. - James P

I wanted to thank you for your class this summer. I really enjoyed being in it. I think you have taught more than any of the professors I have had in a long time - at any university or college. It was a breath of fresh air to have someone that cares about the success of their students rather than just turning them through the system. It was also nice to have someone that has been in the industry and knows what is out there rather than someone that has just come from an academia background with text book examples. I know listening to what you used to do and how you managed things, I would have loved to have worked for you.
- Dominic F

I wanted to thank you guys for all you've done to help me learn and kick-start my career. I wouldn't be employed where I am without your instruction, help, and references.  - Javier G

Thank you for such a great class with so many amazing resources.  You truly are the best! – Paul G
