I will be presenting about how to integrate the Raspberry Pi into your CIS/CS program at next week's WASTC 2021 Winter ICT Educators' Conference.  My talk is scheduled for 1:50pm - 2:20pm Pacific on Friday January 8th, 2021.  To support the quick talk I have created a webpage that will have over 100+ resource links for attendees to explore as they contemplate how to integrate the Raspberry Pi into their CIS/CS courses.

The link to the webpage is www.myitinstructor.com/wastc.html

Check it out and let me know what you think by leaving comments below.  If you think I need to add a specific resource please share so I can make this a useful resource for Instructors.  Thanks!  Kerry Bruce

I will be a presenter at this year's WASTC - 2021 Winter ICT Conference  (Digitally...)

My presentation is on January 8th, 2020 at 1:50pm - 2:20pm Pacific.

I will be presenting on How to Integrate the Raspberry Pi into your CIS/CS programs.  (Geared towards Community Colleges)

I will also be presenting a LIVE Raspberry Pi Play Shop starting at 2:30pm Pacific... they only have it listed as a 20 minute workshop... Silly organizers... they should know that anything I do is going to be way longer than 30 minutes...  Looking to walk Instructors through building a quick Internet connected device using the Raspberry Pi in a line demo/play shop.

There are some really GREAT Keynotes and tons of great sessions for ICT instructors.  The price can't be beat at $50.00.  You should sign up today and plan to join in on the fun!

Let's Get This Started...

7/11/2016

Welcome to our new website.  If you are reading this in mid 2016 then the site is probably a little lame as we are trying to consolidate several Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, webpages, Pinterest, Evernote clippings, etc. into a cohesive set of webpages on a single domain.  So, be patient with us as we get this thing organized.

Webpage - Soon to just be www.MyITInstructor.com

We currently have the following sub-pages; My IT Instructor - Dedicated to my day job... Community College Instructor - Computer Information Systems.  Here you will see items related to CompTIA, Cisco, and Microsoft certifications, Linux and cyber-security items.  Mr. Bruce's HackerSpace - Dedicated to my students and our shared enjoyment of all that is Raspberry Pi, Arduino, robotics, and general geekdom.  Here you will see interesting projects, projects directly out of our classroom, ideas, hopes, and dreams...  Raspberry Pi IT Up - This page is dedicated to my fellow Instructors/Teachers.  Here you will find over time course curriculum, worksheets, ideas, inspiration to help my peers integrate tinkering/making into their courses.

I hope you will enjoy what we are putting together and you will visit often and participate in the building of this resource to share our passion for technology and the art of learning through tinkering.

So, this was my first public, not in my classroom, Raspberry Pi Workshop.  I had an amazing time and I am pretty sure the participants would say the same... See pictures/videos below.  I am attaching my presentation and the Let's Get Physical workshop, courtesy of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, that I used for this workshop.

For those teachers who live/teach within an hour of Albuquerque, NM...  If you would be interested in having me conduct a workshop in your classroom, please let me know and I will see what we can get onto the schedule.
